ZITRO POST was born from over a decade of creative excellence at Zitro Productions.

For over 10 years, our team of experienced and highly skilled professionals has focused exclusively on delivering top-tier post-production services for our in-house projects, including short films, advertising, and feature content.

Now, we're opening our doors.

With the same level of precision, creativity, and storytelling focus that defined our internal work, ZITRO POST is now available to external clients, offering high-end editing, color correction, and visual effects to filmmakers, agencies, and brands who want cinematic quality at every level.

Founder

Our crew

Marcelo Ricardo Ortiz is a Brazilian-born, Canada-based director with over 20 years of experience in animation and storytelling. He recently wrapped up work as Series Director on Nickelodeon’s Blaze and the Monster Machines at WildBrain Studios in Vancouver, where his creative leadership helped shape one of the network’s most successful shows.

Marcelo founded Melies Animation School in Brazil — a leading institution in Latin America’s animation scene — and has mentored thousands of artists. In 2024, he expanded into live-action with his debut feature, Saving Christmas, which he wrote, directed, and produced.

Most recently, he co-founded ZITRO POST, a boutique post-production studio offering high-end color grading, VFX, and editing services to filmmakers and studios, bringing his cinematic vision to a broader range of projects.

Marcelo is known for blending technical precision with emotional depth, and continues to push visual storytelling forward through innovation, leadership, and heart.

Ricardo Ortiz

Ricardo Ortiz is a talented editor, director, and actor with extensive on-set experience, having worked on productions for Disney, DC, WildBrain, Hallmark, Sundance, and more.

A graduate of Vancouver Film School, with a focus on directing and editing, Ricardo brings sharp storytelling instincts and creative versatility to every project.

He is currently developing his own creative works while also sharing his expertise through ZITRO POST, delivering high-quality post-production services to filmmakers and studios alike.
